Thanks to a generous donor, 1000 of these posters have been printed. They can be used as the basis of promo materials available for an active campaign, but also a "new look" that can be used across much of the promotion for the Words of Peace TV show as well as Peace Day. THURSDAY NIGHT CONFERENCE CALLS They really worked for the Time For Peace event. So let's do them to work together on PeaceDay projects, starting this Thursday. If you have an idea, plan and project to share, bring it to the call and tell us what you are doing and what support you need. By the end of the call, you might just have a team! Everybody can get in on this one. Can you imagine a poster and cards hanging in every store? Track how many cards get picked up and replenish the supply -------------------- PEACE POP-UPS A very prime, very public downtown Toronto location for the entire PeaceDay weekend is under negotiation.. Also, someone is looking at a pop up at the Farmer's Market in Aurora -------------------- RUNNING ONLINE ADS This strategy was used to promote the Time for Peace event. . In the same way, PeaceDay ads can be posted. DO A MARCH OR RALLY Get out where the people already are on Peace Day Sunday. Why not take to the streets with this message? -------------------- PEACEMAKERS ON BIG SCREENS Peacemaker's screening at Newmarket Movie Club Why not have a special showing of Words of Peace in a theatre and invite all who attended and missed the July 13th event. Perhaps at a big theatre like the York Cinema at Hwy 7 and Leslie. That one is nailed down for August 31st THINK PEACE FESTIVAL 2015 This was a great idea to think ahead. Set the groundwork for a Peace Festival next year. With a simple plan, all efforts made this year can lead to a region wide Peace Festival. ONE GUY IN KINGSTON It only takes one person to get something cooking. Research is underway to look at how to collaborate with Peace Quest, a local organization. Also, a Peace Day celebration at the Sleepless Goat cafe is being explored. -------------------- OTHER PEACE GROUPS Campaign was suggested to establish relationships with other Peace organizations. -------------------- GOVERNMENT FUNDING Someone suggested putting a proposal together to get some of the funding made available for non-profits. Since the government is freely funding war efforts, some of our tax dollars should be covering peace projects. -------------------- TV ADS Get promos on our TV show leading up to Peace Day. --------- GET SOCIAL Do a social get-together for a BBQ, potluck or feast to celebrate Peace Day. Or meet to plan projects. -------------------- MISSISSAUGA SQUARE ONE Research has been done to get into the activities planned in Mississauga.
